Associate Professor of Economics at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Served as Deputy Governor at the Central Bank of Brazil between July-2016 and September-2019. Worked as chief-economist at Opportunity Asset Management, director and partnet at Radix Asset Management, chief-economist and co-manager of fixed-income and multi-strategy funds at BBA-Capital/BBA-Capital Icatu, and partner of Kyros Investimentos. He also worked as economist and subsequently senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, between August-2007 and May-2011. Holds a BA (1993) and an MA (1997) in Economics from PUC-Rio, and an MA (2005) and a Ph.D. (2008) in Economics from Princeton University.
